The main office is located at 2804 Montgomery St. in a Durham residential community easily accessible from I-40 and I-85.  To increase accessibility,  Ms. Moorman provides services two days per month in each of two new satellite locations – Washington and Wilmington.

 

Ms. Moorman provides diagnostic assessment, counseling, psychotherapy, and referral services for pastors and members of their families

 

The primary purposes of this program are: 1) to meet the emotional/psychological needs of pastors and their families; and, 2) to provide mental health consultation for clergy to assist them in their pastoral counseling work.

 

NC Conference UM Pastors are charged no fees for these services, and all clergy are eligible: pastors serving churches, those in appointments beyond the local church, and retired clergy.

 

Ms. Moorman continually updates a network of mental health providers and pastoral counselors across our Conference who understands the particular stresses of clergy families and can provide professional services for them when referral is needed.

 

After one or more diagnostic interviews with Ms. Moorman, persons may continue to receive services from her or be referred to other providers when appropriate.

 

Ms. Moorman adheres closely to a policy of strict confidentiality, which guards the privacy of each person who seeks consultation, counseling/psychotherapy, or referral.
